DAY -D. SNAKES AND LADDERS: TRANSLATOR'S POV

Hello dear followers of meerkats, my name is Javi and this week I have to be the translator.
This week we made the game of Snakes and Ladders.

Anyway you these are the three words that will translate:

- Snakes and ladders: a traditional game of India, similar to the Spanish goose, where players have to try to reach the last box through ladders and snakes

- Snakes are one of the elements that can be found on the game board if you miss the question, you will automatically lose the snake's head to tail, turn and losing a lot of runs

- Stairs: They are one of the elements that we can find on the game board if you hit the question help you to raise enough cells which may increase your chances of winning the game.

- Sheets: are some pieces that players move on the board

- Die: a cube on each side containing a certain number of points, 1 point to 6, to launch it, depending on which side is facing up, indicating the number of squares you may move.

I hope you enjoy my post, see you next week

DAY-D. SNAKES AND LADDERS: STAR'S POV

Hello everyone, It's Noelia!

The last weeks, we've been working on six topics related to the school organization in Spain. We illustrated the topics in conceptual maps, got some of the key aspects for creating some questions and, finally, we made some cards with one question (of those that we did before) on each card.
Why were they made for? For playing.

Last Monday and today, the two stars of each group played snakes and ladders' game.  I hadn't played before to such game, it's quite similar to the spanish "Goose's play" ("El juego de la Oca"). Here you can see some pictures from the game (courtesy of this week's meerkat journalist, Ana):

Monday's  Game Session

  Today's Game Session

Game Board

The experience hasn't been as good as I would like to.
On Monday, we knew the answer for most of the questions Linda asked us. However, everytime we rolled the die we went to a snake's square and we lost the turn and came back to the previous one. We spent the whole three hours in that way. It was depressing and I definetely got really sad because of how unlucky we were.

Today, we just had one hour and one opportunity for playing that I missed as I didn't know the answer clearly. I still feel bad for it.

So, in the end, the only thing we can think of is that we did our best (the whole group) and we have learned a lot of school organization (what is really useful for us in the not distant future) during these weeks.

As I have said, the whole group did their best for working these topics and help to Paloma and me on our training, so I'd like to say them thank you so much for it.

 THANKS SO MUCH MEERKATS MATES!

Finally, I must say that if you play you've got winners, and these have beenPower Teachers and Keep Calm and Keep Organizated. Because of their win I really want to say them Congratulations, they have done a great job and, obviously, they deserve such reward.
CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!

That's all.
See you soon, everybody.
Meerkat Star.

SNAKES AND LADDERS: FACILITATOR'S POV

Hi everybody! I am María and this week I have been the facilitator again. I am very happy with the work of this week because I think that the two stars have done a good job answering the questions and representing the Meerkats group. Despite all our work, we have not won but the game has been very enjoyable for us. We are a little sad with the defeat but, at the same time, we are pleased with the victory of our classmates.

The two stars answered almost all the questions but the luck was not on our side. One more week, we have not had problems between us and I am very satisfied with Meerkats group.

SNAKES ANS LADDERS: STAR'S POV

Hi! I am Paloma and this week I have been one fo the stars that have to play!

At first I did not want to be the star because I had to study and I did not have much time...
But now I recognise that the experience has not been bad and I realize that Noelia and me form a good team!

In the first round of the play, we were very lucky because we knew all the questions! Unfortunately after, our luck changed and we only fall with the snakes... It was so frustrating but we could not do anything. I know that Noelia and me could win the game but sometimes the luck plays against us!
Also I think that the winners have done a good job and they deserve the prize because they also knew answer the questions correctly!

DAY-D, SNAKES AND LADDERS: JOURNALIST

Hello guys!! This is Ana and my mission this week is to recollect all the effort of my group and let you know how we have worked on the famous Game! So, I am the journalist. I love this role so I have enjoyed it as each week.

Well, this week has been one of the most important of the part of “Scholar Organization”, consequently, we were nervous and a bit under pressure. Specially, our Stars who are really great!! As I have said before, it has been the time of the game, we are still in the sixth activity of the course but this is the final step. The game is “Snakes & Ladders” and it has been the one in charge to demonstrate if we have worked deeply with the Basis of the Educational System.

First, we continued following the strategy that I, as the coach, developed and which we explained in the last week posts. Thus, our stars continued preparing their knowledge for Monday and we kept answering their questions. Thus, we did not need to meet this week, on the contrary, we discussed the problems in class, by WhatsApp and by Skype, where we met two nights during the week to help Paloma and Noelia and to support them, although they did not need it since they are the best!

As every week, we changed the roles. This is something that created some problems with our partners in the class, but fortunately we did not have any trouble because Noelia and Paloma were very courageous and decided to deal with this challenge. So, modifying a bit the table that we use to change our roles, the rest of us continued with the same dynamic as at the beginning and which have been very good for us.

Monday, at 9’o clock, now, it is time for the game!!

I have to say that our stars were nervous but at the same time, they were very motivated because they had trained a lot and we were confident of their knowledge, we knew that they were going to do their bests, and that is what they did. During the progress of the game we supported them unconditionally. Go Meerkats!!

Our stars did an unbeatable work, they knew the questions very good and even the audience cry out that she answer wrong any question. If had continue as we started the game, we could have won but nor chance nor the dice loved us and we were constantly moving down from snake to snake. This is what impeded us to advance, but well, this is a game for lucky people. Nonetheless, we are very very proud of their work and their effort. We love you!!

Then, I have been watching some blogs and I have found this very interesting and useful for our professional career. This blog has the intention to inform students, families and future teachers about important news such as the next oppositions. Also, it offers a variety of resources for each academic level and its appearance makes it attractive. I find it very interesting and I invite you to visit it!
http://www.blogdelmaestro.com/

On the other hand, I have been watching the blogs of my partners, and now I can say that which is more beautiful from point of view is the one of Power Teachers. Apart from its appearance which is nice, I can see that they make a big effort and work a lot each post they write.
http://powerteachers15.blogspot.com.es/

CONGRATULATIONS for Power Teachers who have been the winners!! :)

DAY-D, SNAKES AND LADDERS: ANALYST'S POV

This week we finally play “the game”, we have been working on this topic since Easter and we really wanted to do a good job and, if possible, win the game Snakes and ladders. I think this is a really good way to conclude this topic: a funny and interesting way to show our knowledge and how we have worked on it. We were all very motivated and everybody helped in the groups dynamics. Our Stars have worked and studied also during the weekend. I think that was the best part of the week, the compromise of each other and how we have worked to do our best. I think it could have been better if the entire group could participate in the game. Even if we helped the stars, they had a lot of pressure that any of us had, making their task more difficult and harder.

In my opinion, the best part of the week has been the great job of the stars, they knew all the answers and they really showed that we worked on it. Unfortunately, we have not been lucky and the dice has not helped us… Snakes made us loose!
Anyway, we have learnt a lot about the topic and we keep learning team-working. I think this is very important because it is always necessary how to work with others, collaborate and cooperate to do a good job.

If we continue working as well as until now, we will keep improving. Nevertheless, we have to learn how to distribute better the tasks. There are always people who work more than others, and that is not fair.

To conclude, I would like to say that this topic has been very useful, as we will work as teachers under these laws (as one is the continuation of the first one), we must know the law in order to know and understand all the system that surrounds us in the education field, almost in Spain. I think it is really interesting to see how politics influences everything, education as well, but, in my opinion, some issues must be always the same to guarantee consistency.

TRAINING FOR THE GAME: FACILITATOR' POV

Hi people!! This is Javi, this week I have been the facilitator again, we finally finish all the roles, I mean we pass all the roles at least once, I also was a little scared about being the boss because maybe can happen some problems, but fortunately it doesn’t occurred nothing.

The roles of this week are these:
Ana Elena: Star
María: Curator-Farmer
Paloma: Analyst
Noelia: No-role
Pilar: Journalist
Fran: Translator
Javi: Facilitator

This week we have free class without Linda, because she left us in order to allow us to study the questions for the game of the next week, so there is nothing at especial to say about this week, just that my classmates are very professional and made a great job studying the questions
For finishing I’m checking all the posts of this week before send it. I hope to enjoy it, and remember that next week we will have the game, it will be an interesting week, I can’t wait for it.

See you next week!!

TRAINING FOR THE GAME: TRANSLATOR´S POV

Hello everybody! I´m Fran again, and This week I´m the translator of the Meerkats group. Like you know, the analyst is the responsible to show you five concepts each week concerning the task of this week. This week we have continued with the last task, "The card´s game", and we have to prepared the game for the next week. This role is confortable but it´s very interesting too, because the analyst must know the really important concepts of the task and I think that it´s interesting.
Now, I´m going to start with the concepts:

  • BOARD GAME: Is a game that is played on board. There are a lot of board games and there are different kinds of board games. Some of the types of board games are these: Strategy games, role games, thematic games, abstract games, war games or simulation games. all of them are made to enjoy and to play with others.

  • SNAKES AND LADDERS: Snakes and ladders is a classical board game. This game is very old and is famous around the world. To play to snakes and ladders is necessary two or more players, a die and a snakes and ladder´s board. The objective of the game is to start at home and to arrive to the finish of the game helped by the ladders and try to avoid the snakes. The winner is the first to arrive to the finish line. It´s a game very popular and it´s very similar of the Oca´s game.

  • CONTEST: It´s an organized meeting between players with a previous preparation about something and an collegiate institution called jury. Jury have the function to puctuate the players about them merits and habilities. The players demostrate them habilities with differents proofs. In our contest, the proofs are the cards. The player must get right the questions to continue the turn.

  • LOMCE: Organic Law Improving Educational Quality is the new educational law valid in Spain. The congress of deputies approved the law in 2013. The objective of this law is the universalization of education. The law try to provide all student minimun and uniform levels of education in general is characterized by teh implementation of rigid an uniform system s with very detailed curriculum and little autonomy of  teachers and schools. LOMCE has been a polemic law. Nowadays exist a discussion about it.

  • AUDIENCE:Set od people who follow a content or competition and they are integral part of the content. They analyze the content and they can opine about the players, the jury or anything. They are very important because their implication is the success of the content.

These are the five concepts of this week. I wish that you´ll enjoy with my post. see you soon! Regards.

TRAINING FOR THE GAME: FARMER'S POV

Hi everybody! I am María and this week I have been the curator-farmer of  Meerkats group. This week we have worked with the same information of last week, therefore the mind map is the same. I cannot continue in the general mind map with the information about the rest of the activities because it was complete and I cannot write more, therefore I have had to do an individual mind map:

TRAINING FOR THE GAME:ANALIST' POV

HI! I am Paloma and I am the analyst of this week. In this post, I have to relate how has been the work by answering some basic questions. But, this week we have not had the usual dynamic because we have not had any specific activity, so I wont be able to answer all the questions us a normal analyst, but I am going to try explain how has been our experience this week.

Our work this week has been to create a dynamic which can aid us to training for the game. Ana is our coach and she have had to train the stars of the next week (Noelia and me)
To do it, she has propose to the group that all of us should read the documents because we must have a general idea of all the topics. Noelia and me will have to study the topics and the questions because we will have to answer in the game. (I am nervous but I believe that we can do it well).
With the aid of the rest of the group we will have an easier work because we will have the support of them, so they should to be able of solve any doubt whith the topics. It has been the best part of this week, because we have achieved find a good and simple way to do that all of the members of Meerkats participate in the training. Also the advantage is that all of us will adquire knowledge about the documents.

Maybe the worse part of the week was when we had to decide who was going to be the star. We decide to follow the logical orden that we had stablished. Thus, Noelia was the star of the week, and foutnately, she was very happy because she wants to do it! But the problem was that we needed other star. And the star of the following week was me... At first I recognise that I did not like it so much... But now I think that I can do it well and I can support in the knowledge of my mates. So I will have to study the questions with Noelia and we will have to form a good team for answering the questions in the right way!

TRAINING FOR THE GAME: JOURNALIST'S POV

This week the class environment has changed, we are all going to fight for winning the snake and ladders game. As you may already know, we work on the Educational System during Easter and now, we have to demonstrate our knowledge playing this game. This is such a challenge, but our team is very motivated and I know we are going to do our best.
The original snakes and ladders game
To do so, last week we organised the group dynamic and we chose our speaker-persons.
Ana, Paloma, and Noelia were the ones who took the risks and the initiative. These brave girls now are in charge of showing the others how the group has worked and how we are able to learn effectively.

According to the group dynamics, we all read the documents, and we test the others to learn faster and to make the stars learn more. Moreover, this way, we all know what are the topics about, which make the study of the star easier. They can ask us if they have any question.

The team, trying to learn all the questions

Even if we are very well organised, and the stars are motivated and ready to go for it, as I said before, this is a new challenge and all the stars of the class are under pressure. We could feel it in the air.
the coach training the star

I interviewed the representatives of our group to make you know how they feel and how they get ready for this new experience.

Ana, the coach, is very motivated and ready to do it. Nevertheless, she is under pressure because she feels she is the person in charge of the results of the game. Thanks to her we will lose or win: “I am the manager and the coach, Paloma and Noelia have to play, but I have to train them. I know they can do it perfectly, but I have to do my best to make them confident and ready to face this. I know what I have to do, but I want to do it well. I want all things to be perfect.

Ana, the coach

Paloma, one of the stars, told me she was very nervous. She is afraid of lose her nerfs at the game. even if she knows the answer of each and every question: “I’m quite nervous, we have a very wide content. I know I can do it, but there is a lot of pressure. Fortunately, my mates help me a lot with the contents and Ana is a good coach… She encourages us and her advices are very useful!”.

Paloma, star
Finally, I talked to Noelia. She is motivated, and her optimism makes it easier to work and learn without stress. She really thinks we can win and this attitude helps both the stars and the support team: “This is our chance to show the others how we have improved from the beginning of the year until now. We can’t be overwhelmed, there is a lot of work, but we can do it. Go meerkats!

Noelia, star
This is all by now, next week we will know if we finally win or not, the development of the game, how we deal with the questions, and so on!

Now I am going to show you a very interesting blog, created from a magazine. Its name is Educación 3.0 There you can find not only educational resources based in new technologies, but also news on education, information on formation (like seminars, training courses, etcetera), family resources… It is very complete and very useful for teachers and future teachers as well. I invite you to check it out and see by yourselves all the things this web can offer you!

Pilar Acosta- Meerkats’ journalist

TRAINING FOR THE GAME: STAR

I am Ana, the Coach! But this is not “the Voice” L This week has been a bit different because we have had more “freedom”, however, this does not imply that we have not exploited the time. My role (the star (coach)) consisted on designing a specific strategy which allows our future stars to do their best in the Game.

We have had a good advantage because two of our members came forward to be the stars in the famous game, they are lovely. So, as we did not have any trouble with their election, we all started working.

First, I proposed to my peers the work strategy: all of the members of the group would read and learn from the 6 documents of each topic, and then, each day, we would ask questions to the stars in order to intensify their knowledge, and at the same time, the rest of the team would also know the contents of all the topics. My partners agreed with me, since would not be fair that all the responsibility and the study lie on the stars.

Until this moment, we are working well… our stars are training their knowledge and we are facilitating their work, for example, when they do not know the answer of a question or do not understand it, we explain it for them in other words.

On Monday, my function has been the same as the rest of the week. We have continued asking questions between us and improving our knowledge. Now, we still have 6 days before the game, so we feel that we are going to do a great work, we expect so!

Thank you for your time, I am going to continue training my stars. See you soon xxxx

BASICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM II: CURATOR-FARMER

Hi people, this is Javi, and this week I have been the curator-farmer of Meerkats. This week , we didn't use webpages in order to look for information, the links of the webpages where we produce the question were in the pdf that Linda sent us by the aulavirtual , the paper 6: " BASICS of the Educational System"

BASICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM II:STAR

Hi everybody! I am Maria and this week I have been the star of the Meerkats group. On Monday, I had problems with the transport and I had to go in blablacar because I did not want fail them, for this reason I did everything possible to go to the university.

I think that I have been luck because normally, the star have to do an oral presentation but this week I have had to work with my group and part of the 7up group evaluating the card questions that other groups did during holidays. We had to debate in group about the card questions and answered a "survey" in which we had to mark different aspects. In my opinion this is a good way to work in group and learning how to share different points of view about the same topic.

Those are the different questions that we had to evaluate:

According to this organic law, what do we understand as Spanish Educational System?
Could a private primary school adopt the same name as a public one?

Diego loves different subjects such as sciences, art and English, but he also loves working in groups. Could you tell me which general objectives of Primary Education you can see these things in?
Following LOMCE... What are the languages that must be integrated in Primary Schools?

I have just finished the primary educational degree and I want to know which types of schools provide primary education. How many types are? Which are they?

If I had a child and he goes to a primary school. What is he going to develop?

If I was a head teacher. Which would be the key competences related to the subjects?

Imagine that you are a member of the Regional Education Authorities in Murcia and you cooperate with the MECD regarding the Spanish Education Policy. According to LOMCE, do you have to follow and develop the same education policy or, on he contrary, is the Education Policy is different in these two laws?

In what grade of primary schools is there an individual assessment?

Joao is a Chinese boy who has moved to Spain this year, at first he was very nervous because he was going to go to a new shook where most of the students would be Spanish, so maybe for them Joao would be a weird boy, so, he was a bit worried, but fortunately thanks to a general objective of primary education that this school had adopted he felt really comfortable and welcomed and now he has lot of new friends. Which general objective we are talking about?

Must students go to the specific school according to the guidelines of Educational Authorities, so students can’t choose their school?
Name three different aspects in which the Spanish education policy is focus on.

Pedro is nine year old who is attending the second year of primary education with the old law, LOE. Next year he is going to start the third year of primary education, but with the New law LOMCE. Are the competencies the same in the two courses? Why yes or why not?
Primary Education provides pupils with personal development, knowledge and academic skills. Name the main competences that they acquire and develop in Primary School.
Regarding to the studies provided by public schools and private schools. What difference is usually found between both?

Related to the policy of the primary school, are those pupils with difficulties for learn or with any disability kept in mind?

The Act on the Improvement on the Quality of Education, modified Primary Education in the 2nd, 4th and 6th, could you explain what establishing the basic curriculum for the curriculum of these years?

The Educational Act of 2006, modified Primary Education in the 2nd, 4th and 6th years, could you explain what establishing the core curricula for the curriculum of these years?
What actions are carried out to ensure proper schooling in rural areas?

What are key skills? Some examples of them.

What are the basic skills? Some examples of them.
What competecences must a child who is learning a foreign language and ICT achieve?

What is the legislative reference?

What is the main function of the MECD in the primary education? If the MECD does not exist, which would be the consequences in a national level?
What is the objective of learning the contents and abillities which are especified in Primary School?

What stages constitute the basic education?

What two Authorities cooperate to established the priority aspects of the Spanish Educational Policy regarding primary schools?
Which are the similarities between the core curricula and the basic curriculum? Name at least 3.

Which role takes the Educational authorities in LOMCE in the admission process?

Who are in charge of the development of the basic competencies such as mathematical competencies and Social and civic competencies?

Who is the school network make up by?

Why the primary education is compulsory and free? What assuring this in our society?

You are a primary school teacher and you wake up every morning to go to your school and attend your children. So, what aim do you have?

BASICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM II: FACILITATOR

Hi dear virtual readers! I´m Fran again, but this week I´m the Facilitator of my group. I have been scared with this role, because I thougt that I wouldn´t be a good bosss, but I have founded I like very much that role! I think that it´s a challenge, but it´s a great challnge. I have had to organize the seventh activity of the course and I have enjoyed very much.

The problem of this week has been the holidays, we have been two weeks of holiday but each person of the group was in a different part of Spain! Althougt we have done the task and I think our work have been very good. With this role I have learnt to organize the work of the group and I have checked that my groupmates are very obedient and very disciplined.. Sometimes The role can be oppressive because you´re the responsible of the group, but my groupmates have helped me a lot.

The roles this week are these:

Javi: Curator-Farmer
María: Star
Paloma: Journalist
Noelia: Analyst
Pilar: No-role
Ana: Translator
Fran: Facilitator

The task this week was to create 24 questions with them answers in 24 cards with these dimensions (9x5) and we have had two weeks to do the cards. I organized my group in three groups and each group have to sumarize two topic and create 8 questions. When all of groups had the questions, the whole group would decide the 24 questions.  We divided the task in group on thursday and we met to organizate the questions on the next thursday. We have used new technologies to meet.

When the work have finished, We created a GoogleDrive (https://www.google.com/intl/es_es/drive/) to work together and to write the cards in the same document. I decided to design the cards in the same document to print them together. We used Microsoft Word to create the dimensions of the cards. When the cards was printed we had to guillotine the cards. And today, we have brought the cards to class and I thinkn that we have done a good job.

These week, all of the groups have worked very much. These task have been very nice althought the content is very thick. I want to congratulate all groups of the class!

Finally, as a facilitator I am checking my partner´s posts, looking for spelling mistakes and justifying the margains.

I hope that you enjoy this week with our work. See you soon!! Regards.

BASICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM II: ANALYST

Hello everyone, It's Noelia!
It's a pleasure coming back to write for you!
This week my role is the analyst. The analyst "has to evaluate the work of the group" so... Let's evaluate! But first, let met tell you what we did (if you don't it's impossible to understand my evaluation).

This week the task consisted on creating 4 questions (and their respective answers) for each of the six topics we had to work in.

Those topics were about the educational system (we actually had to focuse on non-university institutions' educational system),a very common topic studied in some of our freshman year's subjects such as school planning, tutorial action or even student diversity. Besides, it is also a popular topic addressed on some discussion shows, news and so on. In my opinion, this might be so populabecause of the politic change we are going to be through at the end of the year and the new politic parties (as well as the society in general)' claim for a better education.

As Easter was coming, we divided the group in 3 subgroups for working two topics (and doing their respective questions) by subgroup. After that, we put al the questions together thanks to Google Drive and the facilitator printed them in the specfic size required (9cmx5cm). In the presentation day, 7UP! and us evaluated the whole questions from the topic 2 and fill in some surveys.

If I had to say two best parts of the activity (I actually have to say one, but if there are two they must be said), I would probably consider the first  one the possibility of working in something that will help us in the not too distant future. The educational system is something we must know for our job as teachers and it's a good idea to work on it from the first year of the degree. Besides, the way in which we have been doing it (the conceptual maps, the cards and finally the game, which will be developed in two weeks) is less boring than if we had to read the law so the content will be learnt in an easier and more dynamic way. Moreover, it shows us another way of teaching and the good results it has for learning, in another words, it gives us a chance to improve our pedagogy.
Furthermore, the second one was working in tandem with 7UP! as it is a good experience for all of us  becuase our work will consist exactly on what we did, working in tandem with other people and evaluate. It's a good training.

Regarding the worse part of the activity and the week, I must say that there's nothing catastrophic that happened and must to be mentioned. However, there was something that worried us a bit and it was the card's print. None of us had done any card and with that specific size so we had to think a lot about the way of writting everything down  and how to print it. Finally, the copyist explained us how to do it and everything turn out well.

As you can see we have learnt a lot of worth-learning things this week: educational system, print stuff, making questions, defending and supporting our arguments (for agreeing on the mark in the surveys). It has been a very worthwile week.

All of this good way of working and all these things learnt have been possible thanks to our willingness to work so good, maybe due to the fact that, during Easter, we recharged our batteries and our efficiency during and after it has been higher. So, although we have already began this second four month period and the batteries are running low, we must conserve this enthusiasm and efficiency as it's going to help us a lot along the time that is left. Also, we have to continue improving because this good week doesn't mean that we can stop doing it. This is just a previous result of an improving process, the real result will be in the end of this long way across soyer1415, and it will be so much bigger and better.

This are my this week's reflections.
I hope you like it and learnt from it as well.
See you soon, everybody!

BASICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM II: JOURNALIST

Hi! I am Paloma and this week I am the journalist of Meerkats. So, I have to tell the story of this week, how we have developed the activity.

For doing it, I am going to insert some evidences of our work, such as pictures in which we can see that we were meeting in class talking about our activity.

We have worked in the elaboration of cards with questions related to the documents of  the Organization of the Spanish Educational System. These questions will be used for the game in which we are going to participate.

We had to divide the group in small groups to work in the production of the cards of every topic. Thus, every small group  were in charge of read and create 4 questions (with the corresponding answers) of each topic.

Once all of us had write the questions, we put all the questions together and we elaborated a general pattern for doing all the cards in the same way. After of this, Fran went to a copy shop and printed all our cards.

Monday in class, we were with other group because we had to evaluate the quality of the cards of the others groups.

Here we can see Meerkats meeting doing the evaluation!

And here we are talking with the other group, all of us working together for a good evaluation!

And finally, I show you our fantastic result, the cards to do the game!We can see cards of all of the groups, and also the cards created by Meerkats.

HELLO AGAIN to our fans. It was a long time without you but Meerkats are here again and with the batteries recharged!! I am Ana and this week I have been the translator. Being the translator is not bad and with this role I can say that I have already tested all of them! This time we have continued the last and long task that we started before easter; now we have done some questions related to the documents about the educational system, so, the terms that I have described for you are the following ones:

Educational administration: It is a part of the educational system of an educational institution that is in charge of the managing of resources, the relation and communication with other centres and its supervision. The head of school is the senior in the scale of Educational Administrators, so he/she has to budget decisions, control all the activities in and out the centre, adapt the curriculum, and so on.

School board: This term refers to a group of people who have been selected to take some decisions in schools in small regional areas. Its general function is to give instructions about the management of the school and the power can be shared with other institutions (the government’s department of education). We can find school boards in public or private schools.

Competence: It is the capacity to apply in an integrated way, all the contents developed in the different courses of school, in order to make a good job, act in future situations and solve properly, complex and daily activities.

Curriculum: This term is referred to the document that regulates the elements which form the different processes developed in school (teaching and learning), during the different parts of the courses. It gathers the knowledge that a student has to achieve to promote, as well as, the hours which have to be followed, the different subjects that shape the courses, the contents that teachers have to teach and the way in which they must evaluate students.

Law: The law is referred to a set of rules established by the government in order to regulate and coordinate the cohabitation and behaviour of people in a country. We can find a legislative power, executive power and judicial power.
"A body of rules fixed and enforced by a sovereign political authority." (Austin, 1790)

I expect with them you can better understand these important concepts about our law and enjoy a bit more with our weekly works.
